I want to thank everyone who voted for me. I wouldn't have made it this far without your support and encouragement. It was your camaraderie that kept me coming back as much as the weight loss results. It's more fun to be "losers" together.
To my fellow diva transformation contestants, we are all winners. We all look fabulous! I'm really happy to be a part of this group.
Lisa, thanks for putting on this contest. I've never won anything in my life. This contest was really special to me because i…

Hello Bootcamp Divas,
I want to share with you why I wanted to transform my body. First of all, I have always been a fit person up until a few years ago. It seemed as if my weight just got out of control. When I realized I couldn't go in the store and just pick out what I wanted to wear, (I had to try on everything) that's when I realized I needed to do something. Not only that, I just wanted to be a more healthy person in general. As you have seen reading the other blogs, there are too many pe…

Hey Ladies:
This is from a well respected lady in the Fitness Industry Isabel, check out what she has to say about the SWEET TOOTH!

If you are following your healthy meal plans and the sugar monster is still out to get you, here are some healthy ways that I have been using myself to satisfy my sweet cravings:

Hi Ladies I started being serious about wanting to lose weight in October 2008 right after my 45th birthday. I am from New Orleans and love to eat all that good food like redbeans and rice, poorboy sandwiches with your choice of fish, shrimp, oysters, hot sausage, gumbo whatever we ate it. But today is a different day. Back in the days my grandparents lived to be 80 and 90 years old, and now my parents generation is dying in their 50's and 60's. Iam 45 and if I want to see 80 and 90 I better cha…

Hi Bootcamp Divas! My name is Marilla Montgomery and I started the Bringing Sexy Back Bootcamp in January. At that time, I was 146.6 pounds. I was not very happy with myself because I have always been very petite and fit. I decided to join the transformation contest to lose the weight and tone up. At the start of the contest, I weighed in at 143.7 pounds, waist size was 31 inches, my hips were 40.3 inches and my body fat was 35.1%. Lisa and the other ladies talked about how big my "booty" was! I…

Hey, Bootcamp Divas!
I want to tell you about my weight loss journey. Yes, a journey -- because it's ongoing. I came to BSBBC 192 pounds strong. I didn't look that big. I didn't feel that big. But I was that big. I wasn't happy with myself. I decided that I had to do something, so, I joined BSBBC in January 2009, determined to be slim and trim before I turn 40 this year.
The workouts were tough and learning to eat right is not as easy as it sounds. But I slowly began making changes and I conti…

Good Day Ladies,
I found an interesting read regarding 'SuperFoods" that I'd like to share...enjoy & Super Eat!!!
* Almonds: A source of "good" fat, almonds can help your heart by lowering bad cholesterol!
* Berries: They're jammed with vitamins — particularly vitamin C — but new research has found these sweet little sensations to be ace disease fighters too, helping to prevent bladder infections and even cancers, among other illnesses.
* Broccoli: Folate, vitamin C, calcium — broccoli…

Hey Divas-many of you ask me about this quite a lot! So, I did some research and found this great article. Please Enjoy!
To Fast or Not to Fast?
By Steve Edwards
As our Nutrition 911 series transitions from drinks to food, what could be more natural than to discuss something in between, like fasting? Most people think that the simplest way to lose weight is to not eat. But if you don't eat, you'll die, which renders this "theory" ineffectual or, at best, short-lived. As we've discussed, we need…

Good Morning Ladies,
For those of you who "know me", KNOW me & my husband's past time in the evenings is toating up a beer or two (lol) for winding down purposes & to celebrate another work day bites the dust. Well, well, well - considering I know my beer consumption is what maintains the "small" belly I still have...I've decided to give up my beer (sorry hubby) for awhile to finally get the last results Lisa's been encouraging...Lord help me LOL!!

Here is our girl Rihanna and what she does to have that lean and tight body. Cardio Crazy and Nutrition!
Rihanna Body Workoutl
She also uses my favorite method of more cardio to stay lean and keep her legs tight.
Rihanna's Comment on her workout:
"A lot of hard work and a lot of running on the treadmill. Cardio is the key. I have a personal trainer who travels with me if we have a big event coming up. I work out every day but I need a trainer to motivate me - I don't find it…

Health Tip of the Day
"Getting Fit. . . One Step at a Time"
After exercising, consider relaxing for a
few minutes in a dry or radiant heat sauna.
This is an effective way of getting your cells
to release fat stored toxins through sweating.
Sauna's are great! The Dowd YMCA has saunas and steam rooms. If you don;t have a membership ,go with someone who does. It cost $10 if not it cost $20. Make a "Spa Day" by working out for that day at the YMCA maybe 2 hours doing various classes=spinning, yoga…

Hey Boot Camp Divas:
It's that time again! Memorial Day Weekend-Did someone say Cook-out? What? Unlimited items to pile on a plate that is already overflowing?
Try this, watch and look at what other place on their plates at the many cook-outs you may be going to this weekend, no criticism, just WATCH! Now you see why I stay on you to watch your portions not the calories, try using your own plate 7in or 9in in diameter and have that available! You can't put alot on it can YOU??? Nope! Eat whole…
